welcome traveler to CalderaRPG, an
online role-playing game played out through IRC (internet relay chat).
Caldera is essentially an MMORPG...without the 'massive' and without the
graphics. Played out in text format, relying on the imagination of
everyone who joins in, it's very similar to a table top setting. The
bonus? Your friends aren't raiding your fridge and you don't have to look
at anyone's mug. Spend time roleplaying your character freeform in the
channels or dive into one of the GM run events or quests. When you're not
playing you can spend those precious skill points on developing your persona. We offer a lot of customization in a fairly
unique system to give you as much control over your character as possible.
We've developed the foundation, from here on out the development of your persona
is up to you. Oh... we'll help along the
way. In the form of creatures trying to kill you, and challenges the likes
of which will leave you screaming for a 'continue'... but you'll get experience
for all that we dish out.
